Terms & Conditions
Draft, pending legal review. This page states Sqilleo's current working position, taken from internal drafts. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and will be replaced with final wording before the apps go on sale.
These terms describe what a Sqilleo subscription gives you, how the playbook library changes over time, and what happens when something goes wrong.
Subscription access
A Sqilleo subscription gives you access to the Sqilleo platform and to the playbooks and learning materials included in your subscription plan from time to time.
Unless we clearly state otherwise in writing, your subscription does not include permanent access to any specific playbook, creator, step, category, feature, or item of content.
The playbook library changes
Sqilleo is a subscription library. Playbooks and learning materials may be added, updated, replaced, retired, suspended, restricted, or removed over time.
Some content is owned or supplied by Sqilleo, and some is owned or supplied by creators or other third parties. A playbook may become unavailable because of Sqilleo's own content decisions, creator withdrawal, rights or licensing issues, legal concerns, policy violations, safety concerns, quality control, technical reasons, compliance reasons, or commercial reasons.
Where a playbook is no longer available, it no longer forms part of the subscription library.
Planned retirements
For planned retirements that are not urgent, we aim to give current subscribers at least 30 days' notice before a playbook is removed from the subscription library. Notice may be given by email, in-app message, or another reasonable method.
After the final access date stated in the notice, the playbook is no longer available as part of the subscription library. We are not required to keep retired playbooks available until each subscriber's next renewal date.
Emergency removals
We may remove, suspend, or restrict any playbook immediately, without advance notice, where we reasonably believe this is necessary for legal, rights, safety, security, technical, policy, creator, compliance, or platform-protection reasons.
That includes issues involving copyright, trademark, privacy, harmful or misleading content, malware or security risk, illegal content, regulatory concern, payment-provider concern, creator dispute, loss of content rights, or a serious quality issue that could harm users or Sqilleo.
Service availability
We use reasonable commercial efforts to keep the Sqilleo platform available so subscribers can access their paid subscription content during their subscription period.
We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Access may be affected by planned maintenance, emergency maintenance, updates, security work, third-party provider issues, app store or payment provider issues, internet or device problems, unsupported app versions, misuse of the platform, events outside our reasonable control, or beta, experimental, or trial features.
If you cannot get in
If a Sqilleo-controlled technical issue prevents you from accessing your paid subscription content for a continuous period of more than 24 hours, you may contact us within 14 days of the issue.
Where we verify the issue, our usual remedy is to extend your subscription access or provide a subscription credit. Refunds are provided only where required by law or where we choose to provide one as a goodwill remedy.
We are not required to provide a refund solely because a playbook has been added, updated, replaced, retired, suspended, restricted, or removed, except where required by law.
Buying through the app stores
Sqilleo subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your purchase, renewal, cancellation, and any refund request are handled through the app store account and billing system you used for the purchase.
You are responsible for managing or cancelling your subscription through the app store before it renews. Cancelling normally stops future renewal but does not automatically refund amounts already charged, unless the app store, applicable law, or a Sqilleo goodwill decision provides otherwise.
Free trailer previews
Playbooks may carry a short soundless trailer of three to seven seconds. Trailers are promotional previews only and do not give free access to the playbook itself.
Sqilleo may apply limits or guardrails to free trailer viewing. Free trailer viewing is not unlimited.
Creators
The Sqilleo Creator Network is approval-only. Creators cannot publish themselves: every playbook is reviewed by Sqilleo before it appears in the app or earns a payout, and Sqilleo is not required to accept, publish, promote, or continue hosting any creator content.
A creator keeps ownership of the original content they submit, and grants Sqilleo a licence to host, stream, promote, moderate, translate, subtitle, and otherwise make it available through Sqilleo and its marketing channels for as long as it is on the platform.
Creator payouts are calculated from subscription revenue Sqilleo actually receives and retains and reasonably attributes to creator-owned playbooks, not from the headline subscription price. Payouts are calculated monthly, require completed payout onboarding with Sqilleo's payment provider, and are subject to a minimum payout threshold.
The full creator agreement is provided to a creator when they are approved. These paragraphs are a summary, not that agreement.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
